Certificate of Completion for 8 hours of Continuing Education in Action Based Learning Teaching Methodology
1. Is the course self paced? How long will it take to complete?
Yes. Individuals may go at their own pace, and complete course work at anytime. You will receive certificate of completion for this 8 hr course. We recommend completing 1 module per week (approx 2 hrs), so that you can complete the course within 30 days.
3. What is a Champion Chat Call?
In addition to the self paced portion of this course, you have the option to attend a weekly zoom meeting live with an ABL Instructor, or listen to the recorded audio at a later time. Note, these zoom meetings are open to all learners currently enrolled in ABL Academy and are moderated in a Q&A format. Topics will vary each week based on learner's questions. To post questions in advance, please post to the ABL Community page. To join an upcoming Zoom meeting, see [0.3] Champion Chat, inside your course.
Although we recommend attending at least 1 zoom call throughout this course, this is optional and you will not be penalized for not attending.
4. Does completing this course count towards receiving my Action Based Learning Certification?
Yes. ABL-101 is a pre-requisite for the following certifications: ABL-LF (Lab Facilitator) ABL-ST (School Trainer) ABL-DT (District Trainer) Completion of this course can be used as credit hours towards your ABL Certification.
5. How do I receive my certificate for this course?
Submitting your final project is the final step in this course. Your certificate will be provided upon submission and instructor review of your final project. Question regarding the final project should be posted to ABL Community page
9. How do I access digital downloads?
All digital downloads and resources will be posted in your "MY RESOURCES" tab, for access after your course closes. This tab will also hold any additional documents ABL Instructors have provided for your personal use.

To contact other learners: The best way to communicate with your colleagues is by posting on the ABL Community page. You will not be able to direct message learners, but you can post your questions and comments on the community page, for your classmates to answer.
11. Discussion Posts and ABL Community Page
ABL Community. This is where all class communication occurs, and you will be encouraged
throughout the course to post in the ABL community and engage with your instructor and
classmates on all boards.
The ABL community page is very similar to social media, except that it is a private community for the Action Based Learning educators only. The social platform allows you to add ABL friends, comment, reply, and "like" posts. You can also update your bio and profile picture for other members in the community to follow you, and reach out with questions.
In addition to posting questions and collaborating with your colleagues, we will be using the ABL Community page throughout this course for you to complete a weekly discussion post. Discussion Posts are assigned at the end of each module, with a question designed for you to reflect and apply what you have learned in that module. Communication with your colleagues will be highly encouraged throughout the course!
12. How do I view my course progress?
ABL Academy uses a gamification system in order to reward you for a job well done! You will get
badges and points according to the number of times you access the course, and how well have
you done with your assignments & quizzes. To view your badges click on your bio button that is
located on the top left corner. Your badges will appear under Achievements.
13. Where can I view current and upcoming courses?
Once you have logged into ABL Academy you can locate available courses by clicking on the
ABC Pathways symbol that is located on the upper left corner of your screen by your name. Then
click on All Courses. Browse NEW and upcoming courses here!
