Purposeful Movement Activities
How can Action Based Learning Strategies help the children I work with?
Action Based Learning is a whole child approach to improving the health, wellness, and education of children. Action Based Learning's teaching methodology is based on the brain research that supports the link between movement and learning to improved academic performance, behavior, and development. Action Based Learning workshops focus on applying brain based research to the learning environment, understanding the brain body connection, and how we can use movement to prepare the brain to learn! ABL partners with health departments, wellness teams, YMCA’s, pediatric rehab facilities, daycares, school districts, and youth centers, to impact the lives of children around the world.
Closing Learning Gaps
It is imperative to re-teach children social skills again, reset the stressed brain, and implement strategies to support the whole child. Research provides us key insights and new strategies to destress the stressed brain and how we can use movement to set students up for success.
